08/19/08 - Kerr/Piggot AB tour in the works Oliver and Sebastian Piggot, the charismatic and uber-talented brothers from this season's Canadian Idol, will be joining Martin for a tour of Alberta in the fall. The two dates announced so far are at Edmonton's Winspear Center on Oct 24, where the trio will headline the annual Voices for Hospice fundraiser concert, and Sherwood Park's Festival Place on Nov 5th.  Shows in Bonnyville/Cold Lake, Red Deer and Whitecourt are already in the pipeline, with more to be added.  Promoters in other AB towns interested in bringing the show to their area should contact Bill Roberts on (780)965-2662. 07/21/08 - Edmonton Shows Announced Friday July 25th, 8pm @ Edmonton Baha'i Centre (9414 - 111 Av.) $20 at the door. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all those who supported, voted and encouraged me to a top 16 finish on Canadian Idol. Tix $15 door/$12 adv @ Tix on the Square/Sherwood Park Library.  Only 70 tix available. 04/11/08 - Back from China on Monday    After successfully recording 26 new songs for Children, and putting on several concerts, I'll be returning home from China on Monday. The album will be called 'Songs from the Family Learning House', named after the school which has commissioned the project.  My previous recording with them, entitled 'Virtues in Us', includes 19 original songs in both English and Chinese for Elementary schoolchildren.  The songs are being used in public schools around China and will be available soon on from me and iTunes. 02/28/08 - New Shows Announced. Two fantastic acoustic venues have booked me to perform - Transcend Coffee (March 14th) and 7th Street Lofts (April 25th).  Tickets will sell out fast.  click on 'shows' to get details... 02/24/08 - Folk Music Live at the Library I've been booked as the final act of 'Folk Music at the Library', a 4-concert series in Sherwood Park showcasing Alberta's best young singer-songwriters. Series begins March 28th, and features one Friday night show per month until June.  Featuring Samantha Schulz, Jessica Heine, Alicia Glenn and ME. 02/21/08 - Exhausted... So, NEBYfest was fantastic, with over 1200 attendees, lashings of great music, and far too many late nights.  ALL of my 4 flights were delayed, so the trip was rather longer than inteded, but I made it back in one piece.  02/14/08 - Off to NEBYfest! Today I jet off to Stamford, Connecticut (that's just outside of New York City) for the North Eastern Baha'i Youth Festival, where I am a guest performer for the 3rd time.  This time around I have the extra honour of appearing alongside KC Porter, a Grammy-winning producer who has worked with such artists as Santana, Ricky Martin, Michael Jackson and many more...  There will be a whole host of great talent performing all weekend.  See neby.org for details. 02/13/08 - Mayor of Edmonton buys my CD Last night I was a guest performer at Edmonton Interfaith Center's annual fundraiser dinner.  Mayor Stephen Mandel was in attendance, and was so impressed with my performance that he stopped to thank me on his way out, and bought a copy of I Know You're Out There.  He hasn't asked for his money back yet:) 02/05/08 - New Look Website So what do you think of the new website design?  I will be adding content to it every week.  Any feedback or suggestions would be welcomed by email. Thanks! 01/14/08 - Back from busy touring schedule After visits to Kelowna, Vancouver, Victoria, Montreal, Virginia Beach, Washington DC, and the U.K. I am happy to be at home in Edmonton with my darling Tara, and working on some new material.  With trips to Connecticut (Feb 15th) and Beijing (March 25th) I'll still be racking up the airmiles in 2008, and am looking forward to announcing summer festival dates across Canada.
